"Using HELP Effectively" (1994 Intro video to the Hawaii Early Learning Profile)

The video quality/clarity of this online video, done on a low budget in 1994, does not reflect the high standards and quality of the current HELP family of materials which are the most widely-used assessments for Part C (and one of the top assessments for IDEA Part B, Section 613). But we wanted to use Web technology to make this video available for free because its content is still valid and helpful in gaining an understanding as to how useful and practical HELP is.

Background Information on the Using HELP Effectively video:
This 20-minute video was produced in 1994. It was made before "HELP for Preschoolers" (for ages 3-6 years) was published and therefore refers only to HELP 0-3. However, the background information and methods provided in this video also apply to HELP 3-6. The video contains some dated references, such as:
• Part H, which is now Part C of IDEA.
• The title of product #153 which is now "HELP When the Parent has Disabilities".
• The cover of product #156, HELP at Home which was completely revised in 2006.
• The format of product #158, The HELP Strands which was updated in 2007.
• The cover of product #159, Inside HELP which was also updated in 2006.
• HELP for Preschoolers (3-6) was published in 1995 as a direct, seamless extention of HELP 0-3.
• Hair styles and clothes of the 1990's...
