Structure of Inside HELP Developmental Domains and Strands
As shown on Structure of HELP Developmental Domains and Strands, Inside HELP is divided into seven major sections according to the following seven developmental domains:
0.0 Regulatory/Sensory Organization
1.0 Cognitive
2.0 Language
3.0 Gross Motor
4.0 Fine Motor
5.0 Social-Emotional
6.0 Self Help
With the exception of 0.0 - Regulatory/Sensory Organization, each of the domains is further divided into sequential sub-areas of development termed "Strands." Each strand represents an underlying concept in which the HELP skills and behaviors are sequentially ordered and hierarchical in nature; i.e., one skill leads to the next skill.
Inside HELP is a comprehensive administration and reference guide to be used in conjunction with all the HELP (Hawaii Early Learning Profile curriculum and assessment materials: the HELP Strands, HELP Charts, HELP Activity Guide, HELP at Home, HELP When the Parent has Disabilities, HELP Checklist, and the HELP Family-Centered Interview.
