New - Completely Revised from the Special Education Management System, originally by VORT and the Santa Cruz County Office of Education.
2,300 skills with thousands of instructional activities.
The BCP is a comprehensive curriculum-based assessment and planning tool for use by special education professionals serving children and adults who are functioning between the developmental ages of approximately 1 to 14 years. It offers a broad continuum of 2,300 observable skills and behaviors grouped into 56 Strands (Goal Areas). Each Strand contains up to 50 behaviors that extend to “socially-acceptable” adult skills and behaviors. The BCP is age and label free (non-discriminatory). It is used for assessment, setting objectives, tracking progress, and preparing instruction.
The wide range of skills and instructional activities are ideal for serving children and adults with disabilities and delays -- in the integrated classroom, the resource room, and the self-contained program.
